PNG to JPG: shrink the file, keep the photo
Short answer: drop your PNG images in the box above and you get JPG files back in about a second — no app, no sign-up, nothing uploaded.
PNG is lossless, which is great for quality but makes big files. For a photo or screenshot you just want to send or upload, JPG is usually a fraction of the size and looks identical.
When should you convert PNG to JPG?
Convert when size matters more than perfect edges or transparency — emailing photos, uploading to a form with a size limit, or posting where smaller files load faster. For logos, icons, and graphics with sharp text or a transparent background, keep PNG.
Will I lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so it re-encodes the image once. At a high setting that change is invisible. Keep the quality slider at 85% or higher for photos and you will not see a difference, while the file gets much smaller. The one real change is transparency: it is replaced with a solid background, because JPG cannot store it.
